Here is a Free Amazing software to manage network profiles.

NetSetMan is the perfect complement for those who usually require changing their network settings because they connect to different networks, probably on different locations. The program allows you to save six different network configurations, and you can change from one to another with just a couple of clicks, without even requiring to restart your system. Thanks to NetSetMan, you can now forget about memorizing and manually changing all those intricate network settings, as you can get it done automatically in no time.

The program's main window offers you six tabs, one for each possible network profile. By double-clicking on a tab you can set a significative name for its corresponding configuration. In addition, creating a new network profile is as easy as right-clicking on a tab and selecting the "Get Current Settings" command. This action will copy your currently running network configuration to the selected profile and, from now on, you can return to it by simply selecting it again and clicking on the "Activate" button. However, there is an even easier way to switch to an alternative network profile: through the program's tray menu. NetSetMan installs an icon on your system notification area and it displays a menu with your six possible network profiles. With just one click, you can switch to any of them.

If you happen to be an advanced user, you can alternatively create a network profile from the scratch by manually specifying all the required parameters such as the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, preferred and alternate DNS servers, Printer, Workgroup and many more. You can also click on the "IP+" button to access the "Advanced TCP/IP Settings Window" where you can configure additional IP addresses for your network adapters, additional gateways and even create your own routing table. On the other hand, NetSetMan also allows you to manage sub-profiles which refer to different setting for different network adapters, within the same main profile.

To sum it all up, NetSetMan is a powerful yet practical tool that allows you to change your network settings in a way that couldn't be easier. Once you have configured all your required network profiles, you can switch to the compact mode of the program which also allows you to change your profile with one click. The program can be used totally free of charge as long as you don't use it for commercial purposes.

Samsung to play Plus card with S8, sport Beast mode and launch late

The next Galaxy smartphone, which may act as the knight in shinning armour for the Korean giant, was expected to launch or at least showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona but now a new date in April is being sought.

Samsung might be going for the kill with the new Galaxy S8 due to its setback with the Note 7. It no longer wants to hurry but take its time and go in for a bulls-eye.
The next Galaxy smartphone, which may act as the knight in shinning armour for the Korean giant, was expected to launch or at least showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona but now a new date in April is being sought.
Change in Launch Strategy

Experts claim that the delay in the launch is to make sure that all battery issues are resolved unlike Note 7 and also ensure that marketing and communications teams have enough time to bring back confidence about the brand after the fiasco. The time might also be used to harvest some hype about the flagship as well.
The date change has tactical advantages as well, experts said. The push back to April gives Samsung a different tactical angle to take with its press launch. Even if Apple does not release the equivalent of an iPhone SE 2, the Galaxy S8 launch will come a few weeks after all of Samsung’s Android-powered rivals will have shown off the handsets at Mobile World Congress. Samsung’s press launch will be in the enviable position of making the last move with this generation of handsets.
                                                            Beast Mode
Apart from launch strategy, the new phone is expected to come with a ‘Beast’ mode. Samsung, which unveiled the mode in a trademark application, is expected to launch the mode in competition to battery-saving modes currently available in Android. The ‘Beast’ mode may be able to leverage greater processing power, graphical ability and increased memory of the handset.
Hardware Changes

The Korean giant is also expected to emulate Apple’s startegy of adding an ‘S’ or ‘Plus’ variant with the upcoming flagship. It is rumoured to be making two different Galaxy S8 sizes - one, called Galaxy S8, will have a display around five inches in size, just like its predecessor - the Galaxy S7. The other phone will be the company’s first 6-inch phone. The Plus is also speculated to arrive at the same time with a AMOLED display. However, experts claim that the S8 Plus has similar overall footpront as the now-discontinued Galaxy Note7.
According to a tipster on weibo who has been accurate on previous calls related to Samsung devices, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature 8GB of RAM. In addition, it will also sport a UFS 2.1 flash storage chip. In addition, S8 Plus might sport a dual-camera set up at the rear just like the iPhone 7 Plus.
Both the phones, either might be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor or an Exynos 8895. The devices are expected to be running on Android 7.0 Nougat.
New Artificial Intelligence
Samsung might also include its new AI powered assistants reportedly named Bixby (male) and Kestra (female) with the Galaxy S8. Speculations are adrift that Google is talking to the Galaxy device-maker about making Google Assistant the only voice activated personal assistant on the device.

Will the iPhone 8 ditch glass for PLASTIC? Rumours say Apple will use the material to create a curved screen

The iPhone 8 could come with a radical new design, according to the latest reports.
Apple's upcoming handset could be set to ditch the current aluminium and glass design in favour of a plastic OLED screen that curves 'all over'.
The report also appears to confirm previous rumours that Apple will be introduced three phone models in 2017.

iPhone 7

The OLED version of the new iPhone will all be curved as Apple ordered all plastic OLED - not glass - from Samsung Display. 'Samsung is capable of supplying a little less than 100 million units of curved OLED displays to Apple,' a source familiar with the matter told The Korea Herald.  The reports suggests that Apple will launch three designs - a flagship model with the curved screen and two that more closely resemble the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Until now, Apple has relied on Corning's durable Gorilla Glass for its iPhone screens. It's not clear whether the plastic would be used alone, or whether it could be covered with a glass layer, notes 9to5mac.com.  Earlier this month, rumours emerged claiming that the iPhone 8 could feature a curved OLED.A curved display could enable Apple to produce a handset with an edge-to-edge screen with practically no bezels.  This was the latest in a series of reports claiming that Apple will feature a curved screen on its next handset, which is expected to launch in autumn 2017. 'Recent reports point to Interflex, BH, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics as suppliers of the components, which will be used by Samsung Display to manufacture the panels used in the iPhone 8,' reports ExtremeTech.

AirPods Launch on Apple Store for $159 With December 21 Delivery

Apple's AirPods are now available to order from the company's online store for $159.00, following weeks of speculation on exactly when the wireless headphones would launch. Originally, the AirPods were going to debut in "late October," but Apple delayed the launch for unspecified reasons.

In the official press release, Apple mentioned that the AirPods will begin arriving at Apple retail stores, Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers beginning sometime next week. Shipment will begin in "limited quantities" at launch, and Apple encourages customers to continue checking its online store for updates on availability and shipping estimates.

Now, users can order the Bluetooth-enabled headphones, which provide up to 5 hours of music playback and high-quality sound through a "seamless and automatic connection" between the AirPods and an iPhone. To charge the AirPods, the included travel case doubles as a charging station that provides up to 24 hours of battery life for the headphones.

AirPods introduce an effortless wireless listening experience packed with high-quality audio and long battery life. These magical wireless headphones use advanced technology to reinvent how we listen to music, make phone calls, enjoy TV shows and movies, play games and interact with Siri, providing a wireless audio experience not possible before.
The new W1 chip inside the AirPods allows for seamless connection with devices in Apple's ecosystem, so that they connect instantly whenever the rechargeable battery case is flipped open near an iOS device. When in the user's ears, the AirPods "know when you are listening" and will subsequently pause music when they're taken out of an ear. Playback controls are left to Siri-enabled voice commands, which are brought up by double-tapping on the buds.

Included with the AirPods is a Lightning cable used to charge the carrying case, and the headphones require Apple devices running iOS 10, watchOS 3 or macOS Sierra. Buy your own AirPods now at Apple.com for $159.00. Deliveries are currently estimated to begin arriving on December 21 in the United States.

Seventeen Microsoft Researchers On The Technology of 2017 And 2027

Credit: Microsoft

Microsoft asked people who hold research positions in the company to share their thoughts on future developments in their different fields. Microsoft chose 17 women in order to draw attention to the opportunity for careers for women in STEM fields. The researcher's ideas about future technology in 2017 and 2027 make for interesting reading and the world will be a better and more interesting place if half of what they envision comes to pass.
One theme that runs through many of the researcher’s predictions is that by 2027 we’ll be living in what might be called a smart world. Advances in AI, computer vision, natural language processing, probabilistic programming, and smart objects will embed us in a world that responds to our presence by serving up information about many of the things in our immediate environment. All we will have to do is ask and objects will be identified, local conditions will be described, and the path to a desired location will be laid out on the street in front of us.

All of the researcher’s ideas are worth checking out. Here are several that we found particularly intriguing.

Sara-Jane Dunn a scientist at Microsoft’s Cambridge research lab, holds out the possibility that a theory of biological computation will emerge by 2027 that will probably not look anything like the silicon-based computation we are familiar with today. The result could be profoundly disruptive – living software that opens up entirely new industries and solutions in the areas of medicine, energy, agriculture and materials. She’s suggesting the possibility of a revolution in the nature of computing itself.

Mary L. Gray, a senior researcher at Microsoft’s New England research lab, suggests that social and computer scientists will develop a better understanding of groups that live in information bubbles as early as next year. Mapping connections among people and measuring information flow into and out of the bubble can produce insight into how these groups form and the cultural, economic and political impact they have.

Nicole Immorlica, another senior researcher at the New England research lab, proposes that economists will develop theories about the sub-optimal decision making that occurs when people are faced with the complex decision spaces that can be produced by big-data analytics. These theories can form the foundation for machine learning applications that people can use to optimize decisions in complex spaces.

Immorlica also suggests that by 2027 a significant proportion of personal income is likely to be derived from the data people generate as they interact with the smartworld instead of the work that they do for their “job” as we understand it today. She suggests that an economy based on generating data through daily living could result in a redistribution of wealth.

Asta Roseway, a principal research designer at Microsoft’s Redmond research lab, focuses on how smartworld technology will affect agriculture, ecology and the environment. She proposes that in 2017 the combination of sensor-loaded smart objects, computer vision, and advanced machine learning will enable farmers to increase efficiency and productivity. She also suggests that development in these technological areas can contribute to low-energy farming, forest preservation and urban-space agriculture by 2027.

This is only a small sample of the thoughts Microsoft’s researchers have about our technological future. What makes their ideas especially interesting is that these women are the scientists and research specialists who are working to see their ideas come to fruition.
