Whatsapp updates 5 new features

Facebook-owned WhatsApp has been continuously bringing updates to its platform to make its mobile app better for the users. Every update includes improvements, bug fixes and new features. Thanks to online reports rumours we have listed few features that can be seen with the coming updates.

Here are 5 new features that can be seen in the future:

Live location:

WhatsApp is allegedly working on Apple’s ‘Find Friends’ feature. The feature was recently introduced by both Facebook and Google. According to an online report, the WhatsApp beta for Android v2.17.150 contains mention of the feature, however, it is disabled by default.

 Recall message:

According to @WABetaInfo, the firm is testing the feature in a new beta release of WhatsApp Web version 0.2.4077, which will allow users to ‘unsend’ sent messages within a five-minute time frame.

New shortcuts:

WhatsApp is also testing new shortcuts for formatting text on a beta version of the app on Android. In the beta version, the app displays a full range of formatting options—Bold, italic, strikethrough, when an excerpt of text is selected.

Person-to-person payment:

According to Mashable India, WhatsApp is in talks with the Indian government to add support for UPI, which allows access to multiple bank accounts into a single mobile app to make digital payments. At present, over 200 million people use WhatsApp across the country.

Change numbers:

WhatsApp may soon allow users to change their contact number and also notifies user’s contacts about the change without losing chats and group data. The feature also provides users with three options – share the new number with all their contacts or choose to share the new number only with those they have chats with. They can also choose not to pass out their new number with anyone. The new feature will solve several problems for users who lose out on chat when they change their numbers.

3 Amazing new whatsapp features

New Recall feature

RECALL

Recall permits you to have a sent message returned to you unread, as long as you make the request for the message's return before it had been opened. thus if you called your boss a greedy old fool in a WhatsApp message, and then find out that he's about to give you a raise, you can take back your message as long as your boss hasn't read it yet.

New edit feature

EDIT

Another feature being prepped is called Edit. Just like Recall, this can enable you to make some changes to a sent post as long as it is unread. Remember the message you sent to your boss calling him a greedy old fool? Instead of asking for the message back, you can modify it so that the boss becomes a generous, diligent leader.

Group Tracking feature

TRACK

While first two features were caught on the android Beta, there is rumour about another new WhatsApp feature found on both the android and iOS Beta (version 2.16.399 and version 2.17.3.28 respectively) of the electronic messaging app. called Live Location tracking, this feature allows you to trace the whereabouts of your group members in real time. The tracking can be kept on for a minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, or indefinitely. This comes in handy if you are supposed to meet the group at a certain location and time, and you wish to ascertain how far from the destination everyone in the group is. The live streaming also can be disabled so that your cluster members cannot learn where you are at any given moment.

Group Tracking

The Live Location tracking is disabled by default, which implies that WhatsApp needs to activate it when it's ready to be launched.
