Facebook-owned WhatsApp has been continuously bringing updates to its platform to make its mobile app better for the users. Every update includes improvements, bug fixes and new features. Thanks to online reports rumours we have listed few features that can be seen with the coming updates.

Live location:
WhatsApp is allegedly working on Apple’s ‘Find Friends’ feature. The feature was recently introduced by both Facebook and Google. According to an online report, the WhatsApp beta for Android v2.17.150 contains mention of the feature, however, it is disabled by default.
Recall message:
According to @WABetaInfo, the firm is testing the feature in a new beta release of WhatsApp Web version 0.2.4077, which will allow users to ‘unsend’ sent messages within a five-minute time frame.
New shortcuts:
WhatsApp is also testing new shortcuts for formatting text on a beta version of the app on Android. In the beta version, the app displays a full range of formatting options—Bold, italic, strikethrough, when an excerpt of text is selected.
Person-to-person payment:
According to Mashable India, WhatsApp is in talks with the Indian government to add support for UPI, which allows access to multiple bank accounts into a single mobile app to make digital payments. At present, over 200 million people use WhatsApp across the country.
Change numbers:
WhatsApp may soon allow users to change their contact number and also notifies user’s contacts about the change without losing chats and group data. The feature also provides users with three options – share the new number with all their contacts or choose to share the new number only with those they have chats with. They can also choose not to pass out their new number with anyone. The new feature will solve several problems for users who lose out on chat when they change their numbers.
